My Story

Places I've called home.

I'm originally from Sri Lanka.

In 2010, I watched Wild Child, a film set in a British boarding school. I wanted to experience travel and independence and to make friends from around the world. So, I logged into my father’s email account and sent two dozen emails inquiring about scholarships at boarding schools in the UK and US.

Two years later, I joined Cobham Hall — where Wild Child was filmed — with a full scholarship. There, I studied the International Baccalaureate Diploma and led Cobham’s chapter of Round Square.

I read Law for two years at the University of Warwick in Coventry, UK, before moving to Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL, to pursue a bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Business Management.

In fall 2016, I moved to Washington, D.C., where I met my now-husband. We moved to Atlanta in 2019. Atlanta offered a robust tech scene and wonderful mentors who supported me in breaking into product management. After three whirlwind years working with early- to growth-stage startups, I decided to pursue an MBA.

I’m excited to attend New York University’s Stern School of Business with a full ride as a Professor Viral Acharya Faculty Scholar and a Forté Fellow.

I'm a global citizen.

My travels and experiences and the people I have met along the way mean the world to me and have shaped the person I am today. As I continue to learn and grow, I hope it shows in everything I do.
